SPC Partners with MGCNLCA on New Alabang School Campus

MGC New Life Christian Academy (MGCNLCA) is a Christian school in the Philippines that traces its history to two schools founded in 1990 and 1991, Makati Gospel Learning Center and New Life Foundational Learning Center, which merged in 1997 under the ministry of Makati Gospel Church. Currently, the school is located in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), where they practice an education centered on Christian faith, from pre-school through Grade 12. Their mission is to raise God-fearing, socially responsible young leaders. Over the decades, MGCNLA has grown into one of the Philippines’ well-established Christian education communities, which prompts the need for a second campus to better serve the rising enrollment.

State Properties Corporation (SPC) has formalized a lease agreement with MGC New Life Christian Academy, Inc. (MGCNLCAI) to develop a new campus within Alabang Global City (AGC), marking a significant step in SPC's vision to build integrated, purpose-driven communities in the south. The agreement was signed on January 8, 2025, at the school's auditorium, in the presence of school leaders, alumni, parents, and church representatives.

Under the agreement, SPC will provide a 5,000-square-meter lot within Alabang Global City for the construction of the new MGC New Life Christian Academy campus. Groundbreaking is targeted for this year, with the project expected to be completed within two years, paving the way for the school's opening by 2027.

The partnership responds to a pressing need: MGCNLCA has seen sustained growth in student enrollment in recent years, resulting in a growing waitlist for prospective families. The new south campus is designed to expand the school's capacity and extend its reach to communities south of Metro Manila.

SPC was represented at the signing by Dr. Roxas and Executive Vice President Mary Maquilan, with Phebe Chiong serving as witness. MGCNLCA was represented by School Board Vice Chair Jimmy Yaokasin Jr. and School Board Chair James Tioco, with Board Secretary Kenrick Chua as witness.

Held under the theme "Expanding Horizons, Moving Forward in Faith," the signing ceremony featured reflections from school leadership on the institution's growth and mission. Yaokasin noted the school's commitment to accommodating more students as part of its long-standing ministry, while School Director Helen Villanueva spoke to the milestones the school has reached over the years and its readiness to take on the new project.

For State Properties Corporation, the agreement reflects a broader commitment to shaping Alabang Global City as a development that supports education, faith, and community life alongside its residential and commercial offerings. The MGCNLCA campus joins the roster of institutions and partners helping bring that vision to life.
